Prince Harry appears to have alluded to differences in support between himself and his brother Prince William in his latest dig at the royal family. The Duke of Sussex has been seen alongside his wife, Meghan Markle, in a fresh trailer for the next part of their Netflix docuseries.
The couple, who married in 2017 and share two young children, opened their lives to the cameras in 2020 after making the shock decision to step back as senior royals. The six-part Netflix series, simply entitled Harry & Meghan, has been highly-anticipated since it was announced as viewers got their first look last week with the release of the first three, hour-long episodes.
The release of 'Volume 1' saw those tuning in discover more about how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex actually met before getting into their experience with the press with Harry making a rare reference to his late mother, Princess Diana's, Panorama interview.
Netflix has now released another trailer ahead of the second installment of Harry and Meghan’s docuseries, Volume 2, airing on Thursday (December 15). The new clip hears the Duke of Sussex say: "I wonder what would’ve happened to us had we not got out when we did."
The 90-second trailer focuses on the couple’s decision to step back as senior members of the royal family, with a clip of Harry saying: “I said ‘we need to get out of here’.”
In another clip, which does not explain to whom it refers, the duke says: "They were happy to lie to protect my brother. They were never willing to tell the truth to protect us."
The trailer, which also features photographs and video footage of the couple at home in California and with their children, ends with Harry saying: “I’ve always felt as though this was a fight worth fighting for.”
It comes after Harry and Meghan released a clip over the weekend about the first dance at their wedding ahead of the final three episodes of their Netflix show. Harry and Meghan can be seen discussing the moment, the song they chose and the lyrics in the 38-second clip.
Photos of the couple spinning around the dance floor are shown as the song – Land Of 1,000 Dances by Wilson Pickett – plays in the background. Other wedding snaps show Harry and Meghan with their guests, including the likes of Sir Elton John and Suits actress Abigail Spencer.
