Prince Harry ’s ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas has posted the first picture of her newborn son.
The model and actress, 33, welcomed a baby boy in November last year alongside her husband, Harry Wentworth-Stanley, who is also 33-years-old.
The new mum posted a sweet picture of herself snuggling up to her baby and their sausage dog and wrote in the caption: “Welcoming 2023 with these 2 treasures. Happy new year everybody!”
And her post comes as Harry’s memoir Spare has been leaked ahead of its official release date on 10th January, which depicts intimate details of his childhood, family life and previous relationships – including his love life with ex-girlfriends Cressida and Chelsy Davy.
During a skiing holiday with Cressida in 2014, who he affectionately refers to as ‘Cress’ in the book, Harry explained how that was the moment he cried about his mother Princess Diana ’s passing for the first time since her funeral.
He said that a conversation with Cressida allowed him to open up emotionally about his deeply-suppressed feelings, writing: “It’s the first time I have been able to cry about my mother since her funeral.
“She had been the first person to help me cross that barrier and give an outlet to my tears,” the Duke of Sussex wrote, according to the New York Times.
The Prince recalled that she did not want to be associated with the pressure of royal life, and wrote about how he broke things off with her at a friend’s house following the trip.
The then-couple had a somewhat tumultuous relationship, breaking up and getting back together multiple times between 2012 and 2014, after having met at a music festival.
Cressida eventually went on to marry her now-husband in 2020 and has spoken about her experience undergoing IVF after sharing her first child with Wentworth-Stanley.
In an article published by The Sunday Times, Cressida spoke about how she felt as though 'my body was failing me' after facing difficulties getting pregnant, to which a specialist told the couple 'there was nothing fundamentally wrong'.
She admitted to 'avoiding' loved one's children's parties due to feeling out of place around her friends who already had children as she struggled to welcome her own.
Prince Harry, of course, married Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex in 2018, and the pair went on to welcome their own children, Archie, and Lilibet, and were both open about the miscarriage they faced before welcoming Lilibet.
