Prince Harry's ex 'doesn't recognise' duke who 'would never' do Netflix show

An ex of Prince Harry's has told Piers Morgan she barely recognises him anymore, claiming the man she knew would never have created the controversial Netflix documentary.

Reality TV star Catherine Ommanney claims to have had a two-month fling with the royal in 2006 when she was 31 and he was 21. Now, she has admitted she "doesn't recognise" him after he created the Harry & Meghan series.

The Real Housewives of DC star was speaking to Piers on his new show Piers Morgan Uncensored and described the Duke of Sussex as "just really, really, really funny," calling him a "total gentleman" and "totally down-to-earth".

She said: "What I saw of him at the time, he was desperately searching for freedom and privacy and yet what he's done is completely turn the whole situation full circle, so now he’s got no privacy and no freedom."

When the former Good Morning Britain man asked her what she would say to Prince Harry if she were to bump into him again, she confessed: "I just don't know whether I’d actually even recognise him anymore personality wise because when I watched him [on] the show, I just thought, ‘Why?’"

She later added: "He would never in a million years, back in those days, have ever been that person to do the show. Never."

Catherine is said to have met Harry in a bar in Chelsea in 2006. She claims that the pair hit it off on the night and met a few more times before breaking it off.

She previously told The Sun she "hopes Meghan looks after him," adding: "He is a very brave, charismatic, incredibly funny, intelligent and lovely human being."

The next three parts of the Harry & Meghan documentary series are set to go live on Netflix on Thursday with viewers eagerly anticipating what is going to be said after the latest trailer.

However, one person who isn't keen to see it is another Real Housewives star, with the RHONYC alum Bethenny Frankel calling the show a "boring money grab".

She said the couple "added gasoline to a fire " after they spoke about being hounded by the UK press and added that the first three episodes, released last week, almost sent her to sleep.
