Following months of speculation about Prince Harry's attendance at the King's Coronation Service, it has finally been confirmed that he will be there to support his father on one of the most important days of his life.
The Duke of Sussex will be present in Westminster Abbey to watch King Charles and Queen Consort be crowned in just under three weeks' time - however it will be a solo appearance, the Mirror reports.
Meghan Markle will not be attending as she stays behind in California with their two kids Princess Lillibet and Prince Archie, who celebrates his fourth birthday that day.
Harry will be forced to face his family alone as it will be the first time he has publicly been seen with his royal relatives since the release of his Netflix series and his controversial memoir, Spare where he made some shocking accusations of several family members.
Here's everything you need to know about Prince Harry's upcoming visit back to the UK...
Emotional goodbye to 'forever home'
Although it's not entirely clear where Harry will be staying during his Coronation trip, it's been reported that he will use Frogmore Cottage in Windsor one last time.
The cottage was gifted to Harry and Meghan by the late Queen after their wedding in 2018 and they moved in after extensive renovations were carried out.
However, only six months later they shocked the world when they made the decision to step down from the royals and started a new life in North America.
They initially kept the Frogmore Cottage but only used it a handful of times and it was confirmed earlier this year that they had been 'requested to leave'.
It's understood they must empty the home by summer meaning it will be available for one last stay for Harry during the Coronation.
If he does stay at his former home in a few weeks, he will be staying only 700 yards away from his estranged brother Prince William who resides at Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Estate.
No reunion with William
Regardless of the two brothers being potential neighbours during Harry's stay, it's been reported that they will not have a reunion.
Several shocking allegations were made against William by Harry who branded him his 'arch nemesis' in Spare and claimed that his older brother attacked him during an altercation.
According to The Telegraph, William is believed to still feel betrayed by the accusations in Harry's book. It's now been reported that there will be no time for the brothers to potentially reunite in private during the Coronation weekend.
Awkward meet-up
It's not just William that Harry fired shots at in his book but several other royal family members too who he will also come face to face with in a few weeks. He strongly criticised Queen Camilla in his memoir who is also being crowned alongside her husband.
In Spare, he claims he once worried she would become 'his wicked stepmother' and said she would throw people under the bus to sit on the throne and claims she even turned his bedroom into a dressing room.
One of Camilla's dear friends is the Marchioness of Lansdowne who told the Sunday Times that the Queen Consort was appalled by Harry's comments.
She said: "It was not stamping of feet or gnashing of teeth – it was much more of an eye-roll response. But of course, it bothers her, of course, it hurts, but she doesn’t let it get to her."
He will also be encounter his sister-in-law Kate who he also hit out at in his book as he revealed the disagreements she had with Meghan.
'House arrest'
Harry also faces living under 'house arrest' after he was refused round the clock police protection for the King's coronation.
He may have no option but to hide out in his Frogmore Cottage base on the Windsor Castle estate over the bank holiday weekend and only leave to attend Coronation events with other royals.
Harry is in the midst of a long running legal case with the Home Office at the High Court over the decision to strip him and his family of taxpayer funded security when visiting Britain.
Harry has been assured he will be looked after when attending royals events but will have to secure his own private bodyguards if he wants to socialise outside while back in the UK outside of the main events.
No procession or balcony place
It's extremely unlikely that there will be any reunions between Harry and his royal relatives in the immediate aftermath of the ceremony. It's been reported that Harry is not welcome at the procession from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace or on the palace balcony appearance.
Such appearances are limited to working royals only. Leaving Harry out from the balcony mirrors the move by the late Queen who did the same at Trooping the Colour at her Platinum Jubilee celebrations last year.
Harry is not also expected to attend the Coronation concert at Windsor Castle which will be the day after King Charles is crowned or any other engagements.
Heading straight home
Taking into account that his public appearances is presumably limited to the Coronation ceremony, it's believed that the trip to the UK will be a very short one.
It's speculated that Harry might even fly back to California as soon as the Coronation is done so he can celebrate his son Archie's fourth birthday.
His birthday has been listed as one of the reasons why Meghan will not be joining Harry and it's likely the Duke of Sussex won't want to miss too much of the celebrations either.
Royal editor Omid Scobie tweeted: "I understand that Archie's fourth birthday (also on May 6) played a factor in the couple's decision.
"Expect it to be a fairly quick trip to the UK for Prince Harry, who will only be attending the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey."
