Prince Harry was back in the United States just hours after attending the Coronation ceremony of his father, King Charles III. The day of the Coronation, May 6, also happened to be his son Prince Archie's fourth birthday.
The Duke of Sussex's wife, Meghan Markle, stayed home with Archie and Princess Lilibet. Arriving home in time to celebrate his little one's fourth birthday, Harry landed in Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) at around 7.30pm local time, reports the Mirror.
The young prince and princess did not attend the Coronation and remained in their Montecito, California home. An insider had previously claimed that Harry would be "in and out of the UK in 24 hours" and wouldn't attend the Coronation Concert tonight.
At the historic event, Prince Harry was seated in the third row, two rows behind his older brother, Prince Williams. He was also reportedly asked not to wear Royal robes and instead to wear a black morning suit, which he did - meanwhile, disgraced brother of the King, Prince Andrew, was seen wearing his formal Order of the Garter robes.
He reportedly flew out on a commercial flight, as he had flown into the UK earlier that day. British Airways flight attendants confirmed that Harry had been on the flight to LAX.
However, they said they were not permitted to discuss the details of his trip, which took place just hours after watching his father and stepmother Queen Camilla be anointed at Westminster Abbey.
Harry's attendance at the ceremony marked his first public appearance alongside the royals since the release of his controversial memoir Spare. In his book, he criticised several members of the Royal family, including his brother and his stepmother.
His abrupt return to the US meant he did not appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the finale of the Coronation day on Saturday afternoon. Palace officials confirmed earlier that he had no formal role at the event.
