Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and baby Archie did spend Thanksgiving in the US with family

After speculation that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were going to spend Thanksgiving in America, it has been confirmed by royal writer Omid Scobie.

Of course, baby Archie was in tow to celebrate his first big holiday (unfortunately, he probably can’t enjoy the pumpkin pie quite yet).

Scobie, who is Royal Editor at large at Harper’s Bazaar US and a royal contributor on ABC, spoke on The HeirPod Podcast where he dished up more than turkey - a royal scoop.

“The Sussexes are away, they're on their break right up until Christmas. They celebrated Thanksgiving privately with close family, which is lovely,” he said.

While he didn’t discuss exactly who’s part of the close family, one would believe that it’s Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland.

His co-host ITV News royal producer Lizzie Robinson said they "probably'" welcomed "being away, and back home for Meghan, in the US."

“It's a long-time trip that they're on, I think we are really going to see them away until Christmas as far as I'm aware, which is good for them,” Scobie added.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have six weeks off from their regularly scheduled royal duties over the holiday season (if only everyone could take that much time off).

Harry and Meghan are said to be spending Christmas with Ragland as well instead of joining Prince Harry's family celebrations at Sandringham. That means she'll miss the royal family traditions - including the annual weigh-in.
