Prince Harry jokes with Eugenie's husband over quick visit and reveals what time he's off

Prince Harry was spotted joking with Princess Eugenie's husband about his quick visit to the UK as he sat in Westminster Abbey for his father's Coronation.

The Duke of Sussex won't be hanging around for long as it's believed he will be dashing off straight after the ceremony to get back to the States.

The day of the Coronation awkwardly falls on Prince Archie's fourth birthday - with Harry expected to jet back to California to be with his son on his special day.

With Meghan Markle not attending, Harry walked in alone and was sat down next to Eugenie's hubby Jack Brooskbank.

According to a lip reader, Harry joked about his busy day and told Jack he would be leaving at "about quarter to four", to which Jack replied: "Oh really, when?"

Harry was also believed to have said "that's funny" to Brooksbank while smiling as they waited for Charles to arrive at Westminster Abbey.

The Duke of Sussex arrived at the same time as his cousins, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, along with their respective husbands, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Brooksbank.

Harry came in way before the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children - and got a seat three rows back from the front.

While walking in, Harry gave courteous greetings to some of the other guests, saying "hello", "morning" and "nice to see you" to various people.

Our lip reader has also claimed he said "look at that" while noticing the grandeur of the occasion and also said "delightful".

Harry is sat next to Eugenie's husband Jack and Princess Alexandra - the cousin of the late Queen, who hasn’t had a working royal engagement in a decade.

It is believed that seating arrangements had been one of the sticking points that had caused a delay in Harry responding as to whether he would attend the historic event.

Earlier this month, a royal source told The Mirror : "After much back and forth, Harry said that he would be returning for the King's Coronation but it will only be a fleeting visit.

"Organisers have been told Harry won't be attending the concert with the rest of the Royal Family, which is a great shame as it will be such a spectacular event."

The duke was determined to attend the big day, with insiders saying Harry was cutely aware that the historic occasion will be "pretty much the most important day" of the King's life.

But he now faces a mad dash back to the US to be with his son of his fourth birthday.

Archie is is expected to be treated to an intimate party with some of his friends and family, including grandma Doria Ragland.

"Harry's going to make every effort to get back in time for Archie's birthday," the insider told Page Six.

"It's going to be an intimate party, it's not going to be like 'My Super Sweet 16' or Portia de Rossi's 50th!"
