King Charles has celebrated his first birthday since becoming monarch - but some members of the royal family didn't wish him all the best.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were among those closest to the King who didn't appear to send him a public birthday message as he turned 74.
He was paid tribute by the Prince and Princess of Wales, who shared a happy snap of the King and said on Twitter: "Wishing a very happy birthday to His Majesty The King!"
A new photo of the King was released to mark the occasion, as writes the Mirror.
It was his first birthday since the death of his mother, the Queen.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not share any pictures of the monarch on their Archewell website, which hasn't been updated since Sunday.
However it is not known if a private exchange took place between family members.
Harry and Meghan quit Facebook and Twitter last January and said it was due to the "hate" they experienced online.
They have not posted to their Sussex Royal Instagram account, which has 9.5million followers, since January 2020.
The Royal Collection Trust shared a picture of a young Charles with Princess Anne, saying: "Happy birthday to King Charles III! This photograph from 1951 shows the then Prince Charles kissing the hand of his sister, Princess Anne."
The Royal Family's official Twitter account, which provides updates on the King, Queen Consort and other senior royals, also posted a video of the Band of the Household Cavalry performing Happy Birthday during the Changing of the Guard ceremony.
A new photograph of the monarch in a tweed blazer, tie and corduroy trousers leaning against an ancient oak tree in the park was released by Buckingham Palace.
Gun salutes fired across the capital, with the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery firing 41 volleys from midday at London’s Green Park, and immediately afterwards the Band of the Scots Guards performed Happy Birthday in the park.
An hour later the Honourable Artillery Company fired a 62-gun salute at the Tower of London.
