The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a public kiss during the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games in Vancouver, where Prince Harry launched the first-ever winter edition of his sporting event.
Meghan, 43, wearing a brown dress, embraced Harry, 40, on stage following his opening speech to competitors. The prince had earlier joked with the crowd, asking if anyone was tired, quipping: "Well obviously team Canada is not tired, everybody else had to travel half way round the world to be here!"
The games welcome 62 British veterans and serving personnel who departed from Birmingham Airport on Thursday. All competitors have sustained life-changing injuries and illnesses while serving in the UK Armed Forces.
More than 500 competitors from 23 nations have gathered for the seventh Invictus Games, marking a historic expansion into winter sports since the event's establishment in 2014.
The Vancouver games hold special significance for the couple, who made their first public appearance together at the 2017 Toronto Invictus Games. Last year, they were spotted supporting athletes at the wheelchair basketball event in Dusseldorf, Germany.
The games, which aim to "inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for those who have served their country," have previously been held in London, Orlando, Toronto, Sydney, The Hague and Dusseldorf.
The Duchess's appearance underlines her continued support for the initiative, following recent joint engagements including a four-day tour of Colombia focused on cyber-bullying prevention and a three-day visit to Nigeria.
