The young prince, aged 11, was reportedly accompanied by his parents who watched him with pride as he soared through the skies under the guidance of an instructor.
Despite his young age, observers noted that it was the right time for George to start learning how to fly. He spent approximately an hour in the air before reuniting with his family at the airfield clubhouse, where they had been spending time with a group of people.
The airfield is conveniently located just 10 miles from the family's residence at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, allowing them to easily incorporate this new activity into George's routine before he returned to school.
Prince George is following in the footsteps of his father, Prince William, who is a trained pilot with experience flying for the Royal Air Force and East Anglian Air Ambulance. Both William and his brother, Prince Harry, learned to fly at the Army Cadet Corps at Eton College before pursuing careers in aviation.
Notably, Prince Philip, George's late great-grandfather, was also a skilled pilot who trained at the same airfield where George took his first lesson.
