Prince George sparks concern as fans notice one important item missing from his smart outfit

Royal fans have been left raising their eyebrows after spotting a key 'missing' item from Prince George's smart outfit at the Ashes as he enjoyed a day out with his father.

The Prince of Wales brought his eldest son along for a surprise day out at Lord's on Saturday to watch the second test between England and Australia, the Mirror reports.

The two future Kings watched the drama of the game unfold as England launched a spirited comeback but other viewers were too busy focusing on the fact that William had a pair of sunglasses on while his nine-year-old son did not.

One eagle-eyed fan took to Twitter to write: "Prince George needs some sunglasses, he is screwing up his eyes, sunshine is too strong."

Another agreed: "They should get Prince George some sunglasses.", to which a third user echoed: "Prince George needs to wear sunglasses as well as dad."

Others also took the time to admire the sweet father-son moment between William and George as one commented: "Prince George tell your Dad you need to borrow his sunglasses because you forgot yours.

"LOL A great picture! I bet Prince Louis is counting down the days until he can start going too."

The young heir to the throne was seen in a navy blue suit while his father was in a blue jacket and light blue shirt with both of them opting for a relaxed top button undone style.

William and George were seen enjoying the game together and speaking about what was going on in the match as the 41-year-old Prince of Wales pointed out a number of plays to his son.

They appeared engrossed in the action on the field and often shared extremely similar facial expressions as they watched on.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was also in attendance and greeted William in the royal box alongside the ECB chairman, Richard Thompson.

Moments after greeting Sunak, young George tucked into a delicious slice of pizza as the adults spoke and they were later joined by actor and comedian Stephen Fry.

The two royals appear to share a passion for sport and have attended numerous football, tennis, rugby and cricket matches together over the past few years.

Most recently in April, they were seen gripping the edge of their seats during a Premier League clash at Villa Park.
