Prince George singing Sweet Caroline with his dad 'the cutest thing' at Party at the Palace

It was an unexpected and sweet moment as cameras homed in on Prince George singing the anthem Sweet Caroline at the Platinum Party at the Palace. The eldest child of Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and third in the line of succession to the British throne, was seen waving a Union Jack as he sang along with his dad.

They were seen belting out the 1969 Neil Diamond classic which became an anthem for football fans during Euro 2020 with the line “good times never seemed so good." And father and son were in great spirits as they joined in the song in celebration of the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

The heart-warming moment was a hailed a 'British classic' and 'iconic' by viewers watching the BBC coverage at home. Eight-year-old George's younger sister Charlotte, seven, was also seen waving a flag along to the song as her mum joined in the rousing song, which was performed by Rod Stewart on the main stage in front of Buckingham Palace.
