As they are slowly introduced to royal life, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis can be often seen following the lead of their parents.
From knowing when to bow or curtsey or when to sing the national anthem, the royal kids take their cues from Prince William and Kate. So it's no surprise that the youngsters often mirror their parents' body language as they look to copy their mum and dad. And according to one expert in the field of body language, Charlotte sometimes performs a sweet gesture that could be hinting at nerves - and it's something she's picked up from mum Kate.
Earlier this month, the Prince and Princess of Wales were pictured taking their three children to their brand new school of Lambrook after their move to Windsor.
In turn, all three shook hands with their headmaster, with Charlotte touching her hair as she did so.
And body language expert Judi James told the Mirror: "It’s Charlotte showing the shyness signals here, touching her hair in that gesture that sweetly mirrors her mother and getting a fond stroke on the back of her hair to nudge her into her handshake with the headmaster."
Charlotte was also seen touching her hair as she attended the Queen's funeral last month, on what would have been a huge occasion for the princess, who is just seven.
For the day, she wore a gorgeous black hat and had a beautiful horseshoe pin brooch attached to her coat in a subtle tribute to her great-grandmother, who was known for her love of horses.
It later emerged that the Queen actually gifted the young princess the sweet brooch, adding even more meaning to the symbolic jewellery.
Charlotte is known to be learning how to ride horses herself, following the lead of her great-grandmother in her budding fascination with horses.
The pin also looks identical to one that was owned by the Queen Mother, Queen Elizabeth, in the 1920s.
In fact, it is thought that she herself received the sparking silver pin as a gift from her mother-in-law, Queen Mary.
The Queen Mother, who married King George VI, then Duke of York, in 1923, wore the gem-covered horseshoe brooch for a portrait taken in 1929.
Meanwhile, Charlotte was spotted sweetly mimicking her mother's actions during the state funeral, as she tipped her hat gracefully just like Kate.
