Meghan Markle was left affronted after she face angry questioning from Prince Charles, a bombshell new book claims.
The Duchess of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry were at odds with his dad Prince Charles rom the get-go according to biographer Tom Bower's explosive new book on the Sussex couple.
The book Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors chronicles the breakdown in relations between the Sussexes, Meghan and Harry, and the rest of the Royal Family.
Prince Charles was allegedly irritated by Thomas Markle's appearances in the media, where he openly criticised the Royal Family and further inflamed tensions between the Firm and Meghan.
During one week in July 2018, Bowers claims Prince Charles angrily asked his son: "Can't she just go and see him and make him stop?"
The Prince of Wales allegedly "berated" Prince Harry in relation to Meghan's actions, or lack thereof, in 2018.
The book further claims Prince Charles and the Queen found it hard to believe that Meghan was unable to resolve the issue with her dad and they wanted her to fly to the US to reconcile with him - but this was rejected outright.
According to the book, Meghan said: "It was completely unrealistic to think I could fly discreetly to Mexico, arrive unannounced at his doorstep, to a location and residence I had ever visited or know, in a small border town...and somehow hope to speak privately to my father without causing a frenzy of media attention and intrusion that could bring more embarrassment to the Royal Family."
Meghan and Harry were married in 2018 and announced that they would be stepping back as senior royals in January 2020, later moving to California to work on their own lifestyle brand.
A number of bombshells are expected from the book, titled Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsos by Tom Bower, including allegations stating the couple believed they had "Diana's magic" but did not take the time to cultivate what the late Princess Diana spent years working on.
It has also been reported that Meghan and Harry are "dreading" the release of the book in question, even as Bower has told the couple that they shouldn't expect to "silence" him in regards to his controversial claims.
