Prince Charles' forgotten step-children who are regularly seen at royal events

While Prince Harry and Prince William are undoubtedly two of the most famous members of the royal family, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall also have two lesser known children, who can be regularly seen attending royal events.

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles married in 2005, giving Harry and William a new step-mum, but before tying the knot with Charles, the future queen had two children of her own, with her first husband, Andrew Parker Bowles.

Laura and Tom live happily outside the royal spotlight, with successful careers of their own, but the siblings are very close with the family and can regularly be spotted at big events.

Charles' step-children made their first public appearance when they sat for official photos at their mum's royal wedding and have since remained widely under the radar.

Tom Parker Bowles

Tom is the older of the two siblings, and was born on December 18, 1974. Like his step-brothers William and Harry, Tom attended Eton, before going on to study at Oxford University.

Soon after graduating, Tom fell in love with cooking and went on to forge a successful career as a food writer and critic, having written a number of cookbooks.

Over the years, he has been a judge on TV cookery shows and has also worked as the Mail on Sunday's food critic.

In 2005, Tom married fashion editor Sara Buys and together they have two children, Lola and Freddy.

Laura Lopes

Laura attended a Catholic girls school in Dorset before going on to read History of Art and Marketing at Oxford Brookes University.

She started her career working as a motoring correspondent for Tatler, before moving into the world of art, managing The Space Gallery in London and then co-founding London's Eleven Gallery in 2005, where she was also director.

In 2006, Laura tied the knot with husband Harry Lopes, who attended Eton College and worked as a model, before going on to become a chartered accountant.

As the son of a baron, Harry is in line to inherit Gnaton Hall in Devon, as well as the Skelpick estate in the Scottish Highlands.

Together, Laura and Harry have three children – Eliza, born in January 2008, and twins Gus and Louis, born in 2009.
