Prince Carl Philip of Sweden looks like Jamie Dornan's long lost twin

Today, in royal news away from Kensington Palace, we're celebrating the birthday of Jamie Dornan's doppelgänger: Prince Carl Philip Philip of Sweden. The Swedish prince, who turns 40 years old today, bears an uncanny resemblance to the 50 Shades of Grey star. Prince Carl Philip of Sweden is the son of Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf and brother to Crown Princess Victoria.

Although Prince Carl Philip has slightly darker hair and Dornan has bright blue eyes, a number of photos would suggest Carl is Dornan's long-lost Scandinavian twin - especially when they’re both rocking a bit of scruff.

Still not convinced? Here's Prince Carl Philip with his wife Princess Sofia of Sweden and his son Prince Alexander (below), while Dornan is pictured on the right with his Fifty Shades co-star Dakota Johnson.

While they like to wear it slicked back for formal events, both men have a fantastic head of wavy hair.

But even with the hair covered up they're still twins. Here's a shot of Prince Carl Philip, shared to his personal Instagram account, wearing a beanie:

Here they are again, with the beginnings of a bushy beard.

Minus the facial hair, the pair still look strikingly similar. Here they are, fresh faced and wearing matching black bow ties.

Prince Carl Philip isn't the only royal out there with a famous lookalike, as many have pointed out that NFL Quarterback Carson Wentz bears a striking resemblance to our own Prince Harry.

And Princess Charlene of Monaco, a former Olympian, not only shares Charlize's statuesque athletic figure but also her facial features.

Royal biopic casting directors, you are welcome.
