Prince Andrew has opted not to write a tell-all memoir like his nephew, with claims he stands "four-square" behind the King, it has been claimed.
This claim follows speculation the disgraced Duke was tipped to follow Harry by penning his own confessional book with the help of ghost writer Daphne Barak.
But a source has rubbished the rumours, which will likely come as music to the King's ears ahead of next month's coronation.
The insider told the Mail the Prince Andrew had decided to keep a deliberately low profile since his disastrous BBC Newsnight interview in 2019, in which he tried to defend himself against rumours surrounding his relationship with convicted child abusers Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
"There are no plans for a book and never have been," the source said.
"The Duke has had a non-existent profile since Newsnight precisely so as not to damage the institution... he would never do anything to deliberately damage the family."
In March last year, court documents revealed Andrew paid an estimated £12m settlement to Virginia Giuffre, who claimed he had sex with her when she was 17.
The Prince however has maintained he never met Ms Giuffre, telling Newsnight interviewer Emily Maitlis that he had been at a Pizza Express on the night his accuser said they met.
He has since been stripped of various titles, including royal duties, with his only official public appearances being in the days following the death of Queen Elizabeth.
The source added: "I suspect some Palace staff are well behind the curve in their understanding of this private family unity. The Duke stands four square behind the King."
The two brothers' relationship is currently said to be at an all-time low due to a row over Andrew's current home, the £30m Royal Lodge at Windsor, which the King has reportedly refused to continue financing.
It also comes as it was confirmed this week that Prince Harry would be attending his father's coronation solo as Meghan stays in California with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
Buckingham Palace made the announcement on Wednesday put months of endless rumours about whether or not the couple would attend to bed, and Harry will attend alongside Prince William and Kate despite their fractured relationship.
A statement said: "Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that the Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May.
"The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet."
The Mirror has contacted Prince Andrew's representatives for comment.
