Prince Andrew was rude' to advisors and could tell Queen 'they're being nasty', says book

Prince Andrew was "not easy to deal with" and could run to the Queen and say "they're all being nasty to me" about his advisors, an insider has claimed.

The claims come in a bombshell new book that charts the work of courtiers and advisors who work for members of the Royal Family. Called Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown, it is written by veteran royal correspondent Valentine Low. And in one part of the book, he writes how the Duke of York, who no longer take part in public life after the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, made little effort with Buckingham Palace staff.

One senior courtier recalls in the book: "He was not easy as an adviser to deal with. He was very arrogant indeed.

"That arrogance could have stemmed from a lack of self-confidence. He is not at all bright.

"The fact that he lashed out and was very rude to advisers like me was down to a total lack of self-confidence, and [an awareness] that he could always run to his mother and say, 'They are all being nasty to me.'"

Meanwhile, a royal expert has said they believe Andrew faces being frozen out of the Royal Family altogether with his main role reduced to looking after the Queen's corgis

King Charles sees no future in The Firm for his brother, it has been claimed, and royal author Nigel Cawthorne understands that the Prince could end up receiving just a token allowance from the new monarch.

He told The Sun : "I can't see he's got much of a role [in the Royals] aside from Lord High Dogwalker, keeper of the royal corgis.".

"Who would want him? What supermarket or school wants Andrew cutting the ribbon?"

Andrew gave the Queen the two corgis - Sandy and Muick that outlived the monarch.

In the aftermath of her passing, many voiced their concern over what would happen to the two dogs, who were last seen paying their final respects to the Queen at her funeral.

A spokesperson for her son Prince Andrew confirmed he and his ex-wife Fergie would be taking on the dogs.

They are currently living with Andrew at Royal Lodge in Windsor - the home he shares with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
