Prince Andrew’s ex Lady Victoria Hervey mocks accuser Virginia Giuffre ‘fighting for her life’ after crash

Prince Andrew’s ex-girlfriend has mocked Virginia Giuffre, a prominent accuser of Jeffrey Epstein and the royal, after she revealed she was fighting for her life after being hit by a bus.

Ms Giuffre shared a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed with visible bruising following the road crash.

In a statement, her spokesperson Dini von Mueffling said: “Virginia has been in a serious accident and is receiving medical care in the hospital. She greatly appreciates the support and well wishes people are sending.”

But Lady Victoria Hervey, A British aristocrat and model who dated Prince Andrew, quickly said she is skeptical of the news, quipping that Ms Giuffre was “the Queen of the fake photo”.

In a flurry of Instagram stories, she added that she did not ”believe in jumping to any conclusions right away from a visual”.

Her remarks are a veiled reference to the photo of Prince Andrew and Ms Giuffre that was at the centre of the scandal that led to him leaving public life- that Andrew had suggested was fake.

In another story, she added: “How is this diagnosis from a car crash?” A further post continued: “Generally when you’re dying you’re not thinking about posting a selfie, you’re actually dying”.

Lady Victoria also wrote “Karma” over a selfie taken by Ms Giuffre in hospital, adding the mocking soundtrack of the 1986 hit The Final Countdown.

The socialite, cryptocurrency promoter and Donald Trump fan briefly dated Prince Andrew in 1999.

She previously made headlines after insisting that "sex trafficking" is not the right term to describe the crimes of convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein because the victims were "living the high life" back in 2019.

Mother-of-three Ms Giuffre, 41, earlier wrote in the an Instagram post: “This year has been the worst start to a new year, but I won’t bore anyone with the details but I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can.

“I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology.

“I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time, but you know what they say about wishes. S**T in one hand and wish in the other & I guarantee it’s still going to be s**t at the end of the day.

“Thank you all for being the wonderful people of the world and for being a great part of my life. Godbless you all xx Virginia.”

It was not immediately clear where or when the crash happened.

Ms Giuffre had recently been living with her children and husband Robert in the suburb of North Perth, Australia.

Reports have suggested that the couple have split after 22 years of marriage.

Western Australia Police said they received one report of a "minor crash" between a school bus and a car in Neergabby, about 12 miles north of Perth, on March 24.

"The collision was reported by the bus driver the following day," said a police spokeswoman. "There were no reported injuries as a result of the crash."

A spokesperson for the East Metropolitan Health Service, which runs Royal Perth Hospital, told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) that Ms Giuffre was not at any of their facilities.

A Western Australia Public Transport Authority spokesperson also told the ABC they were unaware of any such bus crashes.

Andrew paid millions to settle a civil sexual assault case with Ms Giuffre, a woman he claimed never to have met and who was trafficked by Epstein.

He denied accusations that he forced Ms Giuffre to have sex at age 17 more than two decades ago at the London home of Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's mansion in Manhattan and Epstein's private island in the US Virgin Islands.

The scandal forced the royal family to remove Andrew's military titles and royal patronages, and he stepped down from public life.

Epstein, a financier, died by suicide in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019 at the age of 66 while awaiting trial on sex abuse charges.

His longtime associate Maxwell was convicted, on December 29, 2021 of sex trafficking and other crimes.

Ms Giuffre launched legal action against Epstein in 2015, alleging that she was trafficked for sex aged 16 by Maxwell, who recruited her at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

Virginia's father, Sky Roberts, commented on the post: "Virginia my daughter, I love you and praying you get the correct treatment to live a long and healthy life.

"If there is anything in the world, I can do to help you, please let me know. My spirit is with you now and holding your hand."
