Prince Andrew ‘makes secret nightly visits’ to see the Queen to discuss his future

Prince Andrew visits the Queen in secret every night at Windsor Castle, according to reports.

The Queen, who has today tested positive for covid-19, receives covert visits from her second eldest son to discuss his £12million Virginia Giuffre sex case settlement.

The Duke of York, who turned 62 yesterday, is apparently making trips under the cover of darkness to discuss his future role within the monarchy with his mum.

He was stripped of his military links and his titles during the scandal which has came during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year.

According to reports the disgraced Duke has also asked forgiveness his daughters Beatrice and Eugenie, as well as the Queen herself, report Mirror Online.

A source reportedly said the Duke has been “very careful and is trying to keep out of sight”, with his Royal Lodge home around five miles from the castle.

They told the Sun: “He knows he is meant to be keeping his head down and it’s a short trip, but he is extremely contrite and apologised to the Queen for all the trouble he has caused her.

“He realises how serious this whole issue has been and the damage it has done to the monarchy.”

They added that the “last thing” he would want is to cause “anguish” to his mum, 95, in her milestone year.

The source said “it’s certainly true” HM has a “soft spot” for him and “regards him as her favourite son”.

Andrew previously fled to the royal estate in Balmoral, Scotland, last summer to be with his mum during her annual break as Ms Giuffre’s legal team tried to serve him legal papers.

The Duke is understood to have held discussions with Ms Giuffre’s lawyer David Boies for 72 hours before he opted to settle out of court.

Mr Boies was due to quiz him under oath in a deposition on March 10.

Future kings Prince Charles and Prince William are said to have been keen for Andrew to settle the case quickly.

However, the Duke may have found more support with William’s own brother Harry.

It is claimed Andrew reached out to the Duke of Sussex - who stepped down as a senior royal in 2020 - as he explores the possibility of life outside the Firm.

Majesty magazine editor Ingrid Seward said: “I have heard from a very good source that Andrew did think he could reinvent himself like Prince Harry has.”

Charles is said to have ordered his younger brother to avoid being photographed in public and could be ousted from Royal Lodge once he becomes king.

However, it is reported Andrew will make a public appearance at a thanksgiving service for his late dad Prince Philip at Westminster Abbey next month.

It has not yet been decided if he can attend the Queen’s jubilee service at St Paul’s Cathedral in June, as the monarch mulls over Andrew’s future.

Today it was confirmed the 95-year-old is experiencing mild cold like symptoms, according to palace officials.

Her Majesty is receiving medical attention and will ‘follow all appropriate guidelines.’

A statement from Buckingham Palace said: “She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all appropriate guidelines.”

It comes after Prince Charles recently caught coronavirus for the second time in two years and after a positive test.

Clarence House revealed in a tweet the Prince received his result for coronavirus earlier this month and has now gone into self-isolation.

He was then forced to cancel two engagements he had planned for Winchester.

Their statement said: “The Prince of Wales has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now self-isolating.

“HRH is deeply disappointed not to be able to attend today’s events in Winchester and will look to reschedule his visit as soon as possible.”
