Prince Andrew in ‘despair’ that King Charles has not shared £650million inheritance

Prince Andrew is reportedly 'in despair' as King Charles refuses to share the £650million inheritance left by the late Queen.

King Charles was the sole beneficiary of the Queen’s £650million estate, under a 1993 agreement meaning no inheritance tax was owed. This means Princess Anne, 72, Prince Edward, 59, and Andrew, 63, inherited nothing from their late mother and are reportedly feeling resentful over this.

As working royals, both Princess Anne and Prince Edward receive allowances from the Sovereign Grant to cover costs unlike Prince Andrew who stepped down from royal duties three years ago.

"Andrew is in despair. He’s been left completely in the dark," a royal source told Mail On Sunday. "Andrew’s a member of the family, for God’s sake, yet he had no idea this was coming."

They added: "I gather he’s checked it out and it’s true. It’s all gone 'monarch to monarch'. What’s he meant to do? Go cap in hand to his older brother to keep a roof over his head? Things are going from bad to worse. It’s a disaster."

A palace source said: "Andrew hasn’t been uniquely targeted for ill-treatment. Her late Majesty supported her children during her lifetime and had made provision for them already."

This comes after reports surfaced that Charles told Andrew he will no longer foot the bill for his live-in yoga instructor. Earlier this month came to light that Andrew was reportedly 'resisting' Charles' suggestion that he moves from his 30-room Royal Lodge into Frogmore Cottage.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were sensationally evicted from Frogmore Cottage to make way for the disgraced royal. Andrew has lived in the Royal Lodge, which has a 98-acre estate, since 2003, when he secured a 75-year lease.
