Prime Hydration energy drink by KSI and Logan Paul in Aldi Notts stores - but there's a catch

News that Prime Hydration drinks have hit Nottinghamshire supermarket shelves has led to what some shoppers have described as 'carnage'. The 'must have' drink created by Youtubers KSI and Logan Paul are being stocked in Aldi supermarkets across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, however, there is a big catch.

From today, Thursday, December 29, the coveted beverage will be in Aldi stores, but you will need to be quick. After hearing news that the brand would be stocked, those desperate to get their hands on a bottle began to queue outside local stores. Queues were spotted in Daleside Road, Rinvendell, and Stapleford. One ten-year-old told our reporter he had been waiting in line since 7am this morning before getting his hands on the drinks.

Three flavours are being sold by the store, Blue Raspberry, Lemon and Lime, and Ice Pop. They are retailing at £1.99. However, the Specialbuy comes with a catch. A spokesperson for the budget supermarket chain, said: "The drink will be a Specialbuy – and as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone!"

Aldi is limiting customers to "one of each variant per customer" to try to ensure there is enough for everyone. However, the drink, which is 10% coconut water, and contains electrolytes, B vitamins and BCAAs, is selling fast.

Adam Smith who was queueing with his son said: "Every child is obsessed with this Prime Hydration drink so my son insisted that we got up this morning before Aldi opened at 8am because they are stocking it. We joined the queue at 7.20am and it was carnage but there wasn't enough for everyone".

He added: "At least half the queue was disappointed and there were three per customer. It's absolutely insane for a drink. We managed to get three as there were different flavours. They had them up the front near the checkouts and apparently, it's a one-hit-wonder that they will not be restocking"

"Once it's gone, it's gone. Each store was limited to a certain amount and that's it. There were about fifty people in front of us with at least a hundred behind us."

Before today the 20 calorie, zero sugar drink was only stocked in ASDA at a price of £2. The drink has been selling out on ASDA shelves, leaving people desperate to get their hands on one - the drink was even being sold on eBay for up to £50,000.
