Parents and carers who have not yet applied for a primary school place for their child for September have just days left to submit their applications.
The deadline for all primary school applications in the UK is Sunday, January 15. Parents are being reminded they must apply for a place, even if the school is linked to your child's current nursery or infant school.
When you fill in the form (online or on paper) you’ll be asked to list the schools you’re applying for in order of preference.

You must apply for a primary school place a year before your child can start school, meaning your child will be 3 or have just turned 4 at the time of application. Places are given via your local authority.
Liverpool City Council's website advises: "Please ensure that you have completed the online preference form AND returned any supplementary paper forms (where applicable) directly to your preferred schools by the closing date."
Gov.uk warns your child is less likely to be given a place at your chosen schools if you miss the above deadline. To apply for a primary school place, visit the website here
