Primark is launching a click-and-collect trial in 25 stores - with 2,000 items of children's clothing and accessories included.
The low-cost fashion retailer relaunched its website earlier this year, but does not let shoppers buy online.
But now Primark is trialling a click-and-collect service for children's products across 25 stores in the North West of England.
Primark says it is starting with children's products because of "unfulfilled demand" and because it thinks this will drive people to its stores.
However, Primark is not yet ready to reveal which stores will take part in the trial.
A spokesperson said it would give the full list in the next few months.
Primark owner AB Foods said today: “Our average-size stores are only able to stock a limited range and for these customers the number of options available to them will broadly double, increasing even more for customers of our small stores.
"This trial will enable us to provide more fashion, licence and lifestyle products to more customers and more often.”
The fashion firm will have 2,000 items included in the click-and-collect scheme, including clothing, accessories and lifestyle products.
Roughly 800 of those items will only be available through click-and-collect.
Primark added that the click-and-collect trial will help out customers who cannot access its biggest stores.
An AB Foods statement said: "Our average size stores are only able to stock a limited range and for these customers the number of options available to them will broadly double, increasing even more for customers of our small stores.
“This trial will enable us to provide more fashion, licence and lifestyle products to more customers and more often.”
The 25 Primark stores taking part will have dedicated collection areas in each outlet.
Click-and-collect will be free, and Primark will also allow free returns if you take items back to the store.
Primark also said that its sales are picking up after the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the three months to May 28 Primark sales were up 4% on the same period three years ago.
The retailer said sales are now 9% below the level they were before the pandemic started.
Primark added that these sales are being boosted by things like summer dresses, high heeled shoes, luggage and holiday accessories, as Brits plan for their summer holidays.
In April, Primark relaunched its website with huge upgrades for customers.
One of the biggest additions was that shoppers could check stock in their nearest Primark - meaning they now have a better idea of what is in store, including sizes.
The business said today that traffic to the new site has risen around 60%, and almost 15% of customers are checking stock levels in stores.
Before the new website launched, Primark shoppers could only get a preview of what clothes were on sale.
Back in April Primark said customers will soon be able to create a wish list of clothes, so they can keep tabs on the outfits they want to purchase later on.
