Primark shoppers have vowed that they “need” a handy gadget from the store that can light up their homes without leaving them out of pocket.
With energy bills climbing as we head into the colder months, many households are on the lookout for any money-saving hacks they can find to help ease the cost of living crisis. Luckily, this discovery that one shopper made while browsing in the high street giant will only set you back £1.50.
Primark customer Victoria picked up a box of battery-powered Indoor Strip lights, described by Primark as “the perfect way to easily light up your countertop”. And after she shared the find on TikTok the clip quickly racked up thousands of likes, with fellow Primark fans vowing to snap up some for themselves, The Mirror reports .
Branding the strip lights the “best £1.50 I’ve ever spent in Primark”, Victoria gave a demonstration of how they worked in her TikTok video . “They're these strip LED lights and you just stick them on and they've got a battery, so you can turn them on and off,” she explained.
“They literally make such a difference to my kitchen,” she added, showing the end result with them stuck to the underside of her overhead cabinets to light up her countertops. Her caption pointed out: “Electric bill is high enough.”
The post quickly gained more than 100,000 views on the platform, with shoppers taking to the comments section to praise the money-saving hack. “I’ll be there [Primark] first thing tomorrow morning,” one fan shared.
“Brilliant! Need to get these,” a second Primark shopper vowed.
A third added: “I’m picking them up this weekend, thanks for sharing.”
“Perfect inside a wardrobe too,” another commenter pointed out.
One person vouched for the cheap lights: “I have some and they’re actually really good!”
