With snow on the ground across most of the country, layering up and keeping warm is top of the agenda. Primark shoppers have been treated to an array of spring wear that keeps the warm vibe but with a splash of spring colour. On seeing the new collection, one fan of the store demanded "stop it, I can't keep buying coats".
Taking to its Instagram page, the high street retailer released a reel showing its spring range of outerwear and sweaters. Showcasing everything from gilets to umbrellas, the brand declared: "It’s giving Spring but weather appropriate #Primark #Instorenow."
With the items perfect for layering up to keep warm in the snow, yet also practical to last into spring, one shopper said: "So glad you're still doing winter wear", another added: "Need that teal gilet" with others also commenting on the fresh colours.
"Beautiful Spring colours, lovely coats and gilets," said one shopper. "Love the colours", said another, with someone else adding: "WOW-WOW-WOW SOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL COLOURS"

The punchy colours of the cropped padded gilet priced at £19.00 include pink, orange, green and black. Primark says: "Wrap up warm this season with our padded gilets! Fashioned with large pockets, a high neckline and sleeveless design, this padded gilet is one for your wish-list! Pair it with a jumper, mom jeans and canvas trainers for a casual look or dress it up with a turtle-neck long sleeve mini dress and chunky boots!"
Another gilet being stocked by the retailer is termed a 'trans-seasonal' garment. The quilted zip-up gilet is classic cut and styled with a high collar and two side pockets. Diagonal quilted design makes sure heat is trapped in. Primark said: "The high neck has added padding to help keep your neck warm and protected from chilly winds. Great for outdoor adventures, this gilet will look great layered over your gym gear, hiking outfit and everyday ensembles.". This particular style comes in green or cream and is priced at £20.00.
"Stop it," said one shopper, adding: "I can't keep buying coats BTW that crop denim with hoodie is tempting", referring to a cute £19.00 hooded denim jacket. The light blue jacket the grey hood combo was described by the store as "Our essential denim jacket has had a glow up, so we think it needs to be part of your everyday wardrobe... like now!"
Primark doesn't sell its garments online but you can check stock for its stores in Nottingham and Mansfield.
