Primark has been praised by shoppers for introducing a new range in stores that claims to help ease one of the most common symptoms of menopause.
The range includes bralettes, camisoles, T-shirts, slips and nightdresses, as well as leggings, briefs and shorts that are all designed to help ease hot flushes. The description on the Primark website reads: "Wave goodbye to tight, irritating and stuffy nightwear and say a much-welcomed 'hello' to breezy, stretchy and super breathable menopause nightwear and lingerie!
"Hot flushes at night? Our breathable lingerie will help you stay nice and dry no matter the weather or hot sweats!

"Is your skin feeling extra sensitive? Our plush super-soft nightwear for menopause range includes comfy pyjama sets, breezy nightdresses and stylish chemises that will lull you to sleep in no time!"
Shoppers hailed the range after a Primark shopper posted about the clothing on TikTok, admitting that she didn't know whether it was "brilliant or offensive" as she questioned what her mum's reaction would be if she bought her a 'menopause T-shirt' for Christmas. But plenty of TikTok users going through the menopause said that they would be more than happy to receive some items from the collection as a gift.
"I would be delighted!" one fan said in the comments section. "Perimenopause heat is no joke so I imagine full menopause flushes are awful! Thank god the world is changing to accommodate us."
"Brilliant!" another added. "So glad that this is a thing!"
"I would be absolutely delighted to receive this," said a third. "Going through the menopause has to be the worst experience ever, take it from me."
A fourth shopper commented: "I went into menopause at 27 after total hysterectomy and ovaries removed. I would love this for Christmas please."
Some Primark fans even said that they loved the range despite not going through the menopause themselves. "I bought three. They’re amazing! I’m not even in the menopause but can’t control my body temperature!" one said.
"I’m not even going through menopause and have them, so comfy and cooling," another shopper added. Prices in the menopause range start from just £7 for high-waisted briefs to £12 for nightdresses, cami tops and bralettes.
