Primark is selling a striking tailored suit reminiscent of a wardrobe staple worn by Princess Diana.
The chain promoted the emerald green two-piece on its Instagram page this afternoon (Tuesday, February 15), showing off the fit-and-flare trousers paired with a matching sleeveless blazer with a plunging neckline.
It detailed the price of the blazer as £18 and the matching trousers £13. One shopper, commenting on the post, said the style "looks very Zara," referring to the fashion brand.

Magazine Fabulous commented "obsessed" with a love-struck emoji, and almost 9,000 other fans have 'liked' the post by hitting the heart button. "FINALLY SOME WORK AND CLASSY OUTFITS @primark tire[d] of those unwearable mini skirts and little girls' outfits," wrote another.
"Trousers are an amazing fit" declared a follower of the brand, while another commented: "Gorgeous colour."
The suit looks like a modern twist on a two-piece that was loved by Diana in the 1980s, although the Princess wore the jacket with a skirt rather than trousers.
However, both share the same bold colour and double-breasted button detailing, as well as a deep v-neck and fitted style. According to an article in Hello! in 2018 picturing the suit, Diana wore the outfit 12 times at various public appearances, according to analysis by royal fans on Twitter.
Despite the endless choice of fashion options she had at her fingertips, she loved it so much that she had it in her wardrobe for years. One of its earlier outings was in 1985 during a visit to a hospice in Hackney, Hello! reported, and one of the later appearances was in London in 1989.
It was the following year that the 'People's Princess' wore an outfit that became known as her 'power suit', which was a navy trouser suit also with double-breasted jacket.

The outfit, worn to a concert in April 1990, caught attention as it marked the first time a woman in the Royal Family had worn trousers to an evening event.
While Primark did not reference the Princess as the inspiration of its latest line, it did seek to empower those who wear it. "Gorgeous gorgeous girls...wear green power suits!" read the caption.
