Primark's floral occasion-wear that fans say is a 'dupe' of Zara

Primark shoppers are going wild for the retail giant's latest drop of floral occasion wear, with many comparing it to similar products from the more expensive Zara. In a post to Instagram just two days ago, Primark shared four images of floral dresses and a suit set that would make for perfect wedding guest outfits this Spring/Summer season.

Primark captioned the images, writing: "It's the season of saying yes to occasion-wear. Prices from £14 #NewArrivals."

The photos show a long angel sleeve V-neck dress, which falls to the ankle and features a floral print in lilacs, pinks, yellow and green. A second dress, this time with spaghetti-strap sleeves, is also featured in the same print.

And a similar print can be found on a blazer and trouser combo - the trousers look to be slightly flared and not tight on the legs, making for an ideal way to cover up while not overheating. All three outfits were accessorised with either pink or lime green/lemon heels and matching bag.

Fans have taken to the comments section to share their love of these new arrivals, and many have noted that some pieces are similar to Zara's products for the season. One shopper even commented that the models in Primark's photos were "posing like it's Zara", too.

@Bobbymcleanx wrote: "Loving the trouser suit." While @kerri3610 commented: "Love the colours, especially the lilac - my favourite colour."

A third, @coz1986l, said: "Omg these are a blatant carbon copy of my Zara shirt!" And @lisaturner tagged a friend, saying: "This print is everywhere."

Many shoppers said that the outfits, especially the first dress, would be 'perfect' for a wedding, however that wasn't the only event people suggested wearing any of these new outfits. @maria.bernadette.b wrote: "I'd love this dress and shoes for Ascot."

Others said they were "obsessed" with the new items, dubbing them "gorgeous". Even former Corrie actress, Catherine Tyldesley commented: "This dress" while sharing emojis of a flower and chick to symbolise Spring fashion - Primark replied: "Spring is here."
