High street giant Primark has impressed people with a £7 pair of pumps that are being called 'timeless and elegant'. But while the ballet flats are nice to look at in their own right, fashion fans have been comparing them to a £910 pair from designer heavyweight Chanel.
According to people on the internet, the £7 Primark shoes are a 'dead ringer' for Chanel's iconic Lambskin & Patent Calfskin flats. The Chanel pumps are one of the design house's most well-loved staples, and can instantly elevate an outfit by adding a splash of class.
We think they look timeless and elegant. But not quite the same as Chanel's iconic £910 pair.
A video was shared by a fashion fan who frequently features new products that have arrived at Primark. One of the latest videos shows the new Primark shoes alongside a photo of the Chanel version.
The Primark shoes feature a soft faux leather with a contrast colour toe and a bow on the front. They are nearly identical to the Chanel’s Lambskin & Patent Calfskin flats. The only main difference setting them apart is that they do not have the Chanel logo along the side.
Both versions of the shoe are available in a range of colours. The Primark Contrast Toe Faux Leather Ballerina Pumps are priced in Primark at £7 but the Chanel’s Lambskin & Patent Calfskin flats would set you back £910. This means you would save £903 if you opted for the Primark dupes, says the ECHO.
In the comments. one Tik Tok user called the Primark shoes 'perfect', while another said 'I have these.'
While Primark doesn’t offer an online shop, the retailer does have a website where shoppers can see its latest products and check if they’re in stock before heading into stores to purchase them. Find your nearest Primark store here.
