Primark opening and closing times for Queen's Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday

There’s a special four-day Bank Holiday weekend from June 2 to June 5 to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

This will mark the first time a British monarch has ever spent 70 years on the throne, with thousands of special events planned across the country.

But for many people, the long Bank Holiday weekend probably sounds like the perfect opportunity to get some shopping done. So a trip to Primark - one of the UK’s most popular retailers - for some well-earned retail therapy could be just the ticket for a lot of shoppers.

If you’re planning a shopping trip to Primark over the Bank Holiday weekend, you’re probably wondering when it’ll be open - and when it’ll close.

Here’s everything you need to know about Primark’s opening hours over the Platinum Jubilee weekend.

Primark says that its UK stores will be opening according to their normal trading hours over the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend.

However, hours may vary at some Primark outlets as some shopping centres open at different times during Bank Holidays.

You can find opening hours for your local Primark stores by checking the retailer’s online store locator. Primark stores typically open from 8am to 9pm on weekdays and Saturdays, and from 10.30am to 5pm on Sundays.

Primark has 191 shops across the UK, including its flagship stores in Birmingham - its largest in the world - and London’s Oxford Street East and West. The retailer announced last year that it planned to open another 100 stores worldwide over the next five years.

The Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend kicks off on Thursday June 2 and ends on Sunday June 5.

Brits have been given an extra bank holiday on Friday, June 3, with pubs granted permission to open for an additional two hours a day from June 2 to June 4.
