Scot-rockers Primal Scream are set to bring their Screamadelica celebration to Cardiff this week as they celebrate 30 years since the iconic album's release. Initially, the gig was meant to take place at Alexandra Head in Cardiff Bay, but the venue was changed in the spring and now they are performing at Cardiff Castle. More on that change, here.
The gig closes out another round of live music at the iconic castle, as sadly Tears For Fears have had to cancel their performance, read about that, here. The city centre fortress has already seen A-ha, Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra, Bryan Adams and Michael Buble perform this summer.

What changes have been made to the gig?
Other than the big alteration of venue from the Bay to the Castle, the event was initially due to start at 2.30pm, now it's at 6pm. Hot Chip have also been removed from the bill. Ticketmaster have been approached by WalesOnline about fans asking for refunds.
Peter Hook & The Light's support set has been changed to a DJ set.
Happy Mondays have confirmed they are still coming to Cardiff via their social media, their performance comes after the sad death of member Paul Ryder and organisers Live Nation have also confirmed they are still performing, they are sure to get a warm Welsh welcome, too. Founder member Paul is the brother of Shaun Ryder and the band released a statement on their Facebook page last week, which said: "The Ryder family and Happy Mondays band members are deeply saddened and shocked to say that Paul Ryder passed away this morning. A true pioneer and legend. He will be forever missed. We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time. Long live his funk."
