Following the success of Pride Cymru 2022 over the Bank Holiday weekend, organisers have confirmed the dates for next year's events. Hundreds of people joined a parade through Cardiff in support of LGBT+ rights and people on Saturday, August 27 whilst thousands more wandered the capital dressed to the nines in amazing outfits and make-up looks and sporting Pride banners, signs and flags.
In equal parts celebration and protest, the day was a welcoming environment with many people bringing their children and families - but also a day where strong messages in support of LGBT+ rights and trans rights in particular were shared. The parade was full of music and dancing and was joined by organisations including South Wales Fire & Rescue and St John Ambulance, as well as community groups including Cardiff and Swansea's LGBT+ sports teams and the South Wales Gay Men's Chorus.
The parade journeyed through Queen Street and St Mary Street and past Cardiff Castle where the pavements were full of spectators watching on, before an awesome festival took place outside outside City Hall the following day.
