The price of a pint of Guinness is set to increase by more than 12 cent in pubs across the capital.
Diageo announced the price of their draught products will increase due to increased "input costs" across their operations. The drinks behemoth has a portfolio of popular draught products, which includes Hop House, Guinness, Coors, Smithwicks and Rockshore.
All of these products will also see the increase of 12 cent plus VAT, it is understood. In a statement to Virgin Media News, the global drinks company wrote: "Like many businesses in Ireland, we are facing significant inflation in input costs across our operations.

"We have absorbed these costs for as long as possible but unfortunately, we can no longer continue to do so". Heineken announced a 40c price hike in November period to the dismay of many pubs.
Many publicans around the capital said they would stop buying Heineken products because their customers could not afford a price hike in the middle of a cost of living crisis.
