If you're someone who can't get enough of rom-coms, then you'll be delighted to know that this autumn, the musical production of Pretty Woman is coming to the Bristol Hippodrome. The show features original music and lyrics by one of the biggest-selling artists of all time, Bryan Adams and his writing partner Jim Vallance, as well as the classic Roy Orbison and Bill Dee hit song that inspired the name of the iconic 1990 film on which the musical is based.
The show is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell (Legally Blonde: The Musical, Kinky Boots, Hairspray). The show features scene design by architect and designer David Rockwell, who has worked on everything from Caesars Palace in Las Vegas to Grand Central Terminal in New York.
Costume design is courtesy of Tom Rogers from the original Broadway designs by two-time Tony Award winner Gregg Barnes. Meanwhile, lighting design is by Kenneth Posner (Wicked, Hairspray) and Philip S. Rosenberg (Mrs Doubtfire), and sound design is by John Shivers (Kinky Boots, 9 to 5).
