Dublin's first Pret A Manger is set to open next Friday on Dawson Street, creating 25 jobs.
The cafe will be the first of the chain's 20 new shops set to open up all around Ireland over the next 10 years. Surplus food from the cafe will be given to DePaul to help feed Dublin's homeless population.
They had previously been recruiting staff for their new shop with Carebrook Partnership Limited helping rollout the Pret locations across Ireland under a franchise arrangement. Pret de Manger first opened in London in 1986 but now has 558 shops around the world.

The company is also currently expanding India, Spain and Portugal. The group closed 39 stores in the UK due to the pandemic, laying off more than 3,700 staff.
In 2021, the company announced plans to spend almost €120 million on doubling in size by 2026, in addition to the goal of expanding into five new markets by the end of 2023.
Interim UK and Ireland Managing Director, Guy Meakin said: "Opening our first shop in the Republic of Ireland on one of Dublin’s most historic streets is an exciting moment for us. For years we’ve had fans in Ireland hoping for a Pret in their home country so we’re delighted we can finally make that happen.
"Working alongside our franchise partners Carebrook, we look forward to expanding further and bringing our freshly made food and organic coffee to even more people across the country.”
CEO of Carebrook Partnership Limited, Gerard Loughran said: "Having grown up in Tipperary, I am thrilled to be bringing Pret to the Republic of Ireland with our first shop opening in Dublin. We have been working hard to ensure we deliver the ultimate Pret experience at Dawson Street, and it’s fantastic to now see it all coming together.
"Alongside the unique service Pret is known for, we will be bringing customers all the usual Pret classics! We look forward to welcoming our first customers to Dublin next week.”
