Star AFLW midfielder Maddy Prespakis is among seven players who have been slapped with fines for taking part in a heated melee between Essendon and Sydney.
Prespakis' late bump on the Swan Sofia Hurley just moments before the three-quarter time siren on Wednesday night sparked an angry response from Sydney ruck Alexia Hamilton.
Hamilton and Prespakis went toe-to-toe, with the pair eventually dragged to ground and others joining in on the fracas as the melee threatened to spiral out of control.
Tempers eventually settled, and players from both sides were hit with fines on Thursday.
For Essendon, Prespakis, Paige Scott, Jacqui Vogt and Brooke Walker can all accept $100 fines with an early guilty plea.
Swans trio Tanya Kennedy, Cynthia Hamilton and Alexia Hamilton can also accept $100 fines.
Sydney's Montana Beruldsen can accept a $250 for striking Mia Busch.
GWS captain Rebecca Beeson appears likely to come under scrutiny for a tackle on Melbourne skipper Kate Hore in the fourth quarter of Thursday night's game.
Beeson caught Hore high but the slinging tackle also resulted in the star Demon smacking the back of her head on the ground.
Melbourne coach Mick Stinear said Hore was "all clear" after the game.
