Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe reportedly prefers a move to 'England' and Chelsea FC, in particular, over Juventus as new owner Todd Boehly makes direct contact with his agent to conclude a deal.
Boehly has been a busy interim sporting director upon his arrival to the club this summer and his hard work and labour has finally paid its dividends as Raheem Sterling was announced on late Thursday afternoon, UK time, as the first men's team recruit of a new era, with his initial £45million deal having been agreed some time ago between the two clubs.
Sterling was thrown straight into the action as he was involved heavily in his first Chelsea training session before signing autographs with the fans and then heading to the LA Dodgers Stadium for a tour of the facilities. Kalidou Koulibaly is the next player likely to be signed, with a £34m deal seemingly agreed between Chelsea and Napoli. He was spotted in London on Thursday to undergo his medical ahead of an imminent announcement.

But business isn't set to slow down after Edouard Mendy's Senegal teammate is signed. In fact, it is likely to get busier as the pre-season tour progresses, with Kimpembe and Ake two players with deals that look to be currently advanced.
On the PSG defender himself, the Parisians are willing to cash in on a player who has a great relationship with Tuchel. So much so, that the 26-year-old has put a move to England ahead of any other potential transfers amid interest from Juventus, who look to be about to lose Matthijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich.
Boehly has made 'direct contacts' with Kimpembe's camp and PSG's new sporting director Luis Campos is leading these negotiations with the American as a quick solution is on the horizon. Three central defenders' arrivals are set to facilitate Levi Colwill's permanent exit from Stamford Bridge this summer, with Southampton the current frontrunners in this race.
Whether Tuchel uses all of Kimpembe, Ake and Koulibaly in a back four or back three formation remains to be seen but the latest indications are that a similar formation to last season is to be deployed again if Foot Mercato are to be believed.
They have reported in their latest piece that: 'Tuchel wants to line up with Kimpembe - Silva - Koulibaly.'
