President Donald Trump expressed his support for the idea of stationing European peacekeeping troops in Ukraine during a recent press briefing at Mar-a-Lago, Florida. He stated that he would not object to such a deployment and emphasized that countries like France and the United Kingdom have shown openness to the proposal.
However, Trump mentioned that the United States would not participate in the peacekeeping mission due to the significant distance between the US and Ukraine. He also noted that no one has approached him about removing all American troops from Europe in the event of a peace deal.
Following productive discussions with Russian officials, Trump described the talks as positive and highlighted Russia's willingness to address the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. He emphasized the need to halt the violence and loss of life experienced by both Russian and Ukrainian forces.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the US and Russia had agreed on four key principles after lengthy discussions in Saudi Arabia. These principles include the establishment of a high-level team to facilitate negotiations aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine in a manner acceptable to all involved parties.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who was not present at the talks, asserted that Ukraine would not yield to Russia's demands and insisted that any agreement reached without Kyiv's participation would not be endorsed.
