When questioned by a reporter about whether he had asked Zelensky to leave, Trump responded, 'I don’t have to tell you that. I think you know the answer to that.'
Reports indicated that Trump had directed the Ukrainian delegation to exit the White House prematurely after the tense interaction. Consequently, the planned joint press conference between the two leaders did not take place, and they also did not finalize a natural resources agreement as originally intended.
