Serralta, also known as 'Gady,' has been serving as the US Marshal for the Southern District of Florida since his nomination during Trump's first term. Prior to this role, he held various positions, including major in the Miami-Dade Police Department and police chief of Palmetto Bay, Florida.
President Trump emphasized that Serralta will collaborate closely with Attorney General Pam Bondi on matters related to safety and law enforcement.
