The Government imposed the President rule almost after 2 years of ethnic violence.
Biren Singh Resigns
Embattled N Biren Singh had tendered his resignation on Sunday a day before the start of the state Assembly's Budget session. The Congress had warned to bring in a no-confidence motion in the assembly against N Biren Singh for failing to control the ethnic violence.
