JAIPUR: Two senior IPS officers, additional DG (ATS and SOG) Ashok Rathore and additional DG (Vigilance) Biju George Joseph, will be awarded the President's Police Medal for their distinguished and meritorious services in Rajasthan on Independence Day.
Similarly, 19 police officers will be given police medals for their outstanding contributions. These officers include additional DG (ACB) Dinesh MN, former commissioner of police (Jodhpur) Jose Mohan, SP Hemraj Meena, additional SPs (ASPs) Surendra Singh Shekhawat and Madan Lal, inspectors Bhanwar Singh, Mumtaz Khan, Deepak Joshi and Pavitra Yadav.
Also on the list are platoon commander (13 RAC) Bhagat Singh, sub-inspector (SI) HN Kumawat and assistant-SI (ASI) Santosh Lal.
Similarly, DGP ML Lather will also award police officers with medals of excellence and DG discs.
In another development, Rajasthan Police on Friday announced that eight of its officials have been selected for the home minister's medal for exemplary police investigations.
These officials include additional SPs Gyan Praksh Naval and Anukriti Ujjainia, inspectors Devendra, Chatar Singh and Puran Singh Rajpurohit, sub-inspectors Madhu Kanwar Rajpurohit, Sujana Ram and Bhawani Shankar.
DGP ML Lather congratulated the officers and lauded them for their services.
