New Delhi: In a major reshuffle, President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday appointed new Governors in nine states and a new Lieutenant Governor in Puducherry.
Here is the list:
New Appointments of Governors:
1. Retired IAS K. Kailashnathan (GJ:79) as LG, Puducherry
2. Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde as Governor, Rajasthan
3. Jishnu Dev Varma appointed as Governor, Telangana
4. Om Prakash Mathur appointed as Governor, Sikkim
5. Santosh Kumar Gangwar appointed as Governor, Jharkhand
6. Ramen Deka appointed as Governor, Chhattisgarh
7. C H Vijayashankar appointed as Governor, Meghalaya
Reshuffle of Governors:
1. C.P. Radhakrishnan, Governor of Jharkhand with Additional Charge of Telangana, appointed as Governor of Maharashtra
2. Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Assam, appointed as Governor of Punjab and has also been appointed as Administrator of the UT of Chandigarh
3. Lakshman Prasad Acharya, Governor of Sikkim, appointed as Governor of Assam and has also been given additional charge of the Governor of Manipur
