President-elect Trump has officially won Arizona, avenging his 2020 election loss in the crucial swing state. The race in Arizona was called on Saturday evening, granting Trump 11 more electoral votes and bringing his total to 312. His opponent, Vice President Harris, garnered 226 electoral votes.

Trump's victory in Arizona marks the end of the battle for swing states in the 2024 presidential election. In addition to Arizona, he also secured electoral votes in North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.

In the 2020 election, President Biden won Arizona by a narrow margin of less than one-half of 1%. Before Biden's win, Republicans had carried the state every year since 1996.

Immigration emerged as a critical issue in Arizona, given its proximity to Mexico. Concerns about border security and crime were voiced by residents like Mary from Phoenix, who emphasized the need for swifter border enforcement.

Victory grants Trump 312 electoral votes, Harris 226.

Arizona has a significant Hispanic voter population, with a history of supporting Democrats. However, there were indications of a shift towards Trump leading up to the election.

Furthermore, Arizona is set to elect a new senator following Sen. Kyrsten Sinema's decision not to seek re-election. The Republican candidate, Kari Lake, a former TV news host, is running against Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego, a former Marine.
