Bondi also served as one of Trump's defense lawyers during his first impeachment trial, emphasizing that the president had not committed any crimes. She later worked on Trump's Opioid and Drug Abuse Commission, collaborating on drug prevention and treatment initiatives.
Currently, Bondi is a partner at Ballard Partners, a Florida-based lobbying firm, where she chairs the corporate regulatory practice. The firm's D.C. office generated over $70 million in lobbying fees during Trump's first term, representing various corporate clients.
Bondi has been vocal in her criticism of Trump's prosecutions, particularly in his hush money trial, where she emphasized the severity of the charges against him. Her experience and background in law and public service position her as a strong candidate for the role of Attorney General.
