President-elect Donald Trump recently revealed a new lineup of senior staff members for his incoming White House team. These appointments include:
- Nicholas Luna: Luna will be serving as the deputy chief of staff for strategic implementation. He previously held the position of presidential trip director in the first Trump White House. Luna made headlines when he tested positive for Covid-19 shortly before Trump did in October 2020. He was also present with Trump on January 6, 2021, and testified before the House select committee investigating the Capitol attack.
- Stanley Woodward: Woodward has been named as the senior counselor. He notably represented Walt Nauta, Trump's co-defendant in a classified documents case, as well as several witnesses in the same case. Trump himself was indicted for allegedly taking classified documents from the White House after leaving office and for resisting the government's efforts to retrieve the materials. The case was dropped by special counsel Jack Smith after Trump's election win in November.
- Beau Harrison: Harrison, Trump's former assistant for operations, will now serve as the deputy chief of staff for operations. He was interviewed by federal investigators during the classified documents investigation due to his involvement in signing a document affirming the contents of boxes being shipped to Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort as the president was departing office in 2021.
- Robert Gabriel: Gabriel, who has been part of Trump's team since 2015, has been appointed as the assistant to the president for policy. Gabriel previously worked as an associate producer.
These new additions to Trump's White House team bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their respective roles, setting the stage for the administration's future endeavors.
