President Biden's re-election campaign chair, Jen O'Malley Dillon, is scheduled for an interview at 9:00 a.m. to advocate for the president and vice president. The campaign has stated that she will be discussing their strategy for victory moving forward and how they plan to defeat Donald Trump.
Despite growing calls from Democrats for President Biden to consider stepping down from the race, the campaign has firmly denied any such intentions. This pressure intensified after Biden's lackluster debate performance against former President Trump last month. The campaign attributed much of the performance to a cold that Biden was battling at the time, with Biden himself dismissing it as just a 'bad night.'
Recent developments have further impacted the campaign, as the White House confirmed that President Biden tested positive for COVID-19 this week. As a result, campaign events in Las Vegas, Nevada, had to be canceled, and the President is currently recuperating in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
