President Biden's Busy Schedule Amid Questions About Stamina

Joe Biden coming out of plane

President Biden has a packed schedule on Wednesday, raising questions about his stamina as he, at 81 years old, seeks re-election for another four-year term.

The day kicks off with a 10:00 a.m. Presidential Daily Briefing, followed by a departure from the White House at 10:45 a.m. to address national labor union leaders at the AFL-CIO. At 11:45 a.m., the president will head to the Washington Convention Center for the NATO Summit in Washington, D.C.

A series of high-profile meetings will occupy the rest of the day until Biden returns to the White House at 4:30 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., he is scheduled to meet with newly-elected UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Later in the evening, the White House will host a dinner with NATO Allies and partners in the East Room.

This busy day follows Biden's strong opening address at the NATO’s 75th anniversary summit in Washington D.C. on Tuesday evening. The speech was highly anticipated as Biden aimed to address concerns about his ability to serve as the nation's oldest sitting president.

Biden's speech was notable for its lack of major stumbles or setbacks. He emphasized the strength of NATO, stating, 'Today, NATO is more powerful than ever. It’s good that we’re stronger than ever because this moment in history calls for our collective strength.'

The president highlighted global challenges, including autocrats seeking to disrupt the global order, ongoing terrorist threats in Europe, and Putin's aggression against Ukraine.
