Presenters for Virgin Media's new dating show Gra ar an Tra announced

Three presenters have been announced for Virgin Media's brand new dating show which will see twelve Irish contestants looking for love as well as learning to speak as gaeilge.

The new show is called Grá ar an Trá (Love on the Beach) and it has an Irish twist as it will follow twelve singletons on a quest to couple up and find love and learn the Irish language. The newly announced presenters for the show are Gráinne Seoige and Síomha Ní Ruairc, who will join influencer James Kavanagh on the reality show.

The show will see six men and six women compete and couple up to be crowned 'Couple with the most Focail" and walk away with a grand prize of €10,000. Instead of heading to sunny Mallorca or South Africa like Love Island, contestants for Grá ar an Trá will be brought to one of Ireland's Gaeltacht regions.

Filming began earlier this month, and it will see the twelve contestants living in a house together for five weeks with the cameras rolling. Gráinne Seoige is a familiar face to many on Irish tv and she recently guest hosted The Six O'Clock Show, while Síomha Ní Ruairc is known for her work on TG4 and Dublin native James Kavanagh is a social media influencer known for his hilarious vlogs and parodies.

Taking to social media, Gráinne Seoige excitedly wrote: "It’s a summer of grá." According to Virgin Media, Grainne will act as Cinnire Grá’ - the ‘Captain of Love’, by keeping a close eye on the singletons.

Meanwhile, Siomha will act as 'Bean an Tí' and James will be the Man an Tí'. Grainne Seoige said about the show: “I’m really looking forward to the craic we’ll have cheering the couples on as they get a blas for Gaeilge and hopefully for each other too!

"The grand prize should bring out the teanga dhúchais in all of them."

Virgin Media's new dating show Grá ar an Trá is expected to hit Irish screens soon.
